New Beginnings...
One of the best ways to tell the work ethic of a man is to see how straight he can dig a ditch.” I can still hear my late grandpa, Newlin Johnson’s voice when I say those words. That was one of my first memories working with him as an early teen. If I sit back with my eyes closed, I can still almost feel the beads of sweat, and the feel the heart beats as I think about the ditches and holes I dug for him during those early years and I can promise you my sons have done their fair share of digging holes in their earliest years of working construction as well!
That’s where it began for me, and while it’s been quite a journey, there is something exciting about new beginnings; starting something new, but doing it with the knowledge, passion and the skills of a lifetime of work behind it.

Newlin Construction Company is exactly that. It’s the accumulation of all the life, building, and experience thus far, focused on the one thing I’ve had a passion for since the beginning; high end, customized, strategically designed home builds. There is nothing quite as rewarding as walking through what was a vision, and now is a reality; a place someone will call “home”.
I am forever grateful for the relationships along the way, the insights, the skills, and the integrity of those that come together from different stems of the same industry to accomplish one goal. I believe that some of the best architects in the US reside right here in South Carolina, along with skilled tradespeople who take great pride in their work and create masterpieces in their specific vocations. Working together, we are able to create some of the most beautiful homes in America, right here in the Carolinas.
